This video also demonstrates how use of the robot in selected cases in this setting can facilitate a minimally invasive approach to a beyond TME resection, with advantages in visualisation of tissue planes and patient recovery. Use of the robot was planned preoperatively for the pelvic dissection and for ureteric reimplantation using a multispecialty robotic skillset to deliver a minimally invasive approach.
